Who we are

This website (www.merlin-expo.eu) is published and maintained by AFRY (also referred to below as “we”, “us” and “our”). The MERLIN-Expo Software is developed by our unit Facilia Sweden. This website and the MERLIN-Expo software were developed within 4FUN Project funded by the EU 7th Framework Programme.

This Privacy Notice explains how we protect the personal information we collect when visitors interact with this website.

What information we collect and why we collect it

We respect the privacy of individuals and does not collect or manage any personal data unless it has been provided to us voluntarily by the individual concerned.

Registered users

For users that register on our website (if any), we store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

We need your email address to send you the information on how to activate your account or how to reset your password.

We may also use your email address to inform you about update made to the MERLIN-Expo Software and to let you know about upcoming training events. You may at any time request that we discontinue sending you emails.

Contact forms

We also store user input data sent through the contact forms on this website, along with meta information about the submissions, including the time stamp, the origin IP address, and the user agent (browser). Also, third party services may collect information about website visitors. We currently use Google Analytics on this website.

Cookies

This Website uses cookies to improve the user experience and ensure that it is functioning effectively.

If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Who we share your data with

The information you submit through the contact forms is sent as email messages that only a select few are allowed to access. The information is also stored in the database on our hosting server for backup and later reference purposes. Only the website administrators can see and manage the information stored on our hosting server.

How long we retain your data

We don’t set a particular time limit for storing information because we need it for future reference. If you want your information to be removed from our database, please contact us. We will remove it anytime there are concerns about your privacy.
